Greenstein and McDonald practices general civil law, including tenant representation in landlord-tenant cases, family law, personal injury and civil rights (sexual harassment, discrimination and police misconduct). We have worked hard to earn an excellent reputation in tenant representation and family law. In tenant law, we do eviction defense and we file lawsuits against landlords for habitability defects, wrongful eviction, harassment, discrimination, personal injuries and any other wrong committed by a landlord.

We are also committed to helping tenants in San Francisco and the larger Bay Area by donating our time and money to change the laws that affect tenants. For example, we put our time and resources toward passage of the "Just Cause Ordinance" in Oakland which meant that landlords had to have one of fourteen enumerated reasons for evicting a tenant.
